PPWA Services

PPWA offers several groups to help members in need of support, services, or just a good book to read. Contact the group leader(s) listed below if you have questions about the group's activities or need to request a service.

Grandma's Attic

Grandma's Attic is a service provided to PPWA members by PPWA members. A network of 35 women store baby/children items that may be borrowed when children come to visit. Check the Inventory to see the wide variety of equipment and playthings that are available when you need them. To make a request email the coordinator and specify the item(s) and dates needed.

Lending Library

The Lending Library is located in the Venetian room at the Clubhouse and is available to everyone in the Pelican Pointe community. It is managed by PPWA volunteers who receive and sort donations, and reshelve returned books. Borrowing is on the honor system, we only ask that books be returned in a timely fashion. We accept donations of hardbound books in good condition with a copyright date of 2020 or newer, and newer paperbacks in good condition. We cannot accept large print books, books on tape, or children's books. Our collection is made up mostly of fiction, but the bottom rows have nonfiction books shelved according to subject matter. We also have a "New Book" shelf with recent donations. For avid readers this is a good place to find new titles. PPWA scrapbook and history books may be viewed in the library premises but not borrowed. Donated and returned books should be placed in the trunk located between the library shelves. Happy reading!
